How do I reduce excessive blur?


Hi all,

Aside from the anti-aliasing issue I posted, I find that often portions of the animated characters appear as excessively blurred, perhaps trying to simulate perspective. But in reality, it appears as unnatural excessive blur! And in many cases, the character may not appear as blurred in the exact same position if they were just placed there - as opposed to arriving at that position with movement.

Any pointers on reducing excessive blur (including still and motion blur)?




Hi Steve, I’m not quite sure what you mean by blur. Are you using depth of field in order to create blur, or are you referring to blur that results from objects being far away from the “focal plane”? Motion blur as a post-processing effect doesn’t work well on the SDK because the camera is considered to be “moving” by Unity when we do our multiple renders, so I wouldn’t recommend using that effect.
