This post is meant more to capture and document an issue so that if other folks are experiencing it they have a reference.
Apple’s new M1 chip (integrated in their new fleet of computers) is a new custom GPU architecture. It’s thrown a handful of folks in the graphics community a bit of a curveball in the way it exposes the information of connected displays – which is information HoloPlay Service needs to operate.
We’re keeping an eye on the issue. The library we use to handle this is aware of the issue and is taking steps to resolve. Once that cleans out we should be able to implement a patch fix.
